Four Northwestern Michigan College students presented a play about the Seneca Falls Convention in 1848. These Phi Theta Kappa members portrayed Elizabeth Cady Stanton, James and Lucretia Mott, and Frederick Douglass, all pioneers for women's equality.

Haitian children tugged at Jeff Link's heart. Orphaned by the catastrophic earthquake that struck Jan. 12, these children featured in a news report reminded Link of some kids he knew very well: he and his wife and another couple run an orphanage in Nicaragua.

In the eloquent words of Shakespeare, stupidity is not so much brain as earwax. Stupidity is often circumvented by listening to the faint voice of reason. Other times being thickheaded is more about pliers than cerumen. This past weekend I had a stupidity intervention.
